An in-depth and interactive workshop focusing on preparedness, risk awareness, and resilience in both professional and everyday contexts. Participants explore practical tools, scenarios, and strategies to better understand risks, strengthen decision-making, and build a structured approach to preparedness. Suitable for teams and organisations seeking deeper knowledge and hands-on learning.

Crisis Kit Lunch Workshop

A practical and hands-on workshop focused on building a personal crisis kit and strengthening everyday preparedness.

Participants learn what essential items to include, how to prioritise resources, and prepare a simple meal together using the contents of a crisis kit, demonstrating how preparedness works in real life.

Toby Cowern is our lead instructor in survival training.

Notable achievements include:

  • Trained the winning team of The Polar Challenge 2006 (a race to the North Pole)

  • Prepared Team Helmut for The Arctic Ultra Yukon Challenge 2009

  • Worked as a professional guide for multiple organisations and media companies operating in some of the coldest and most challenging environments on Earth

  • Currently serves as lead trainer for Antarctic Fire Angels, preparing them to become the first all-female team of firefighters to cross Antarctica
