About Us

The Hello Nature team

Toby Cowern

Our survival expert Toby has a background in the British Royal Marines and the British intelligence services. Today, he trains civilians, military personnel, police, and other professional groups around the world in risk assessment, preparedness, and survival. His particular speciality is survival training in winter environments.

Robert Eliasson

With a background in the restaurant industry, IT, and education, Robert is responsible for the Hello Nature website and leads our cooking courses, where he combines his passion for nature and outdoor cooking. He also has extensive experience in running education and training businesses. A favourite dish over the fire is the classic kolbulle, prepared with plenty of pork.

Christer Nederstedt

Christer Nederstedt plays a key role in our partner collaborations and product development. When he’s not working on developing Hello Nature, he’s often found on skis — both alpine and cross-country.

We believe in nature. Hello Nature exists for those who seek connection, inspiration, and understanding through the natural world. Through knowledge and experiences, we aim to bring people closer to nature.

Vår skola i bygdeträsk

Since 2024, we have been based in the beautiful old schoolhouse in Bygdeträsk, where we offer courses and accommodation for those interested in nature and survival. Each winter, we welcome visitors from across Europe and other parts of the world who want to learn more about winter survival.

Here, we have also coached several teams preparing for expeditions to both the South Pole and the North Pole, sharing our expertise in extreme outdoor environments and survival in some of the toughest conditions on Earth.

Together, we want to make nature more accessible, engaging, and alive for everyone.

Our headquarters (we don’t really do offices)

We often joke that a day in nature is “a day at the office” — because this is truly where we feel most at home. The vast majority of our experiences and training take place outdoors, where we get to share our passion and knowledge in the place we belong: in nature.
