Medicinal plants & trees

An inspiring training course on the medicinal properties of plants

This course is well suited for those who enjoy spending time outdoors in forests and natural landscapes and want to deepen their knowledge of plants, trees, and their properties. During the course, you will learn how to identify, collect, and process materials from plants and trees into practical medicinal preparations. The course is practical and hands-on.

Guided by our instructor, we set out on a calm walk where we use all our senses to discover the healing powers of plants. You will learn how bark, leaves, buds, and roots have traditionally been used to treat everything from minor wounds to colds — and how you can safely and sustainably make use of the same properties today.

During the course, we cover:

Plant identification and harvesting seasons — which parts of the plant are most effective and when they should be collected.

Sustainable and respectful harvesting — how to gather without leaving a trace and with care for the ecosystem.

Drying, extraction, and infusion — step-by-step methods for transforming raw materials into tinctures, salves, and teas.

We conclude around the fire, where you will have the opportunity to create a simple salve or tincture to take home. All necessary equipment, raw materials, and recipes are included in the course fee, and you will also receive a course booklet so you can continue experimenting on your own.

Whether you are a curious beginner or already forage medicinal plants, you will leave the course with new knowledge, practical skills, and a deeper sense of connection to the forest. Welcome to an educational day filled with scents, flavours, and nature’s own healing traditions.
